Floor Plan
Posted by loglearn
I got a hold of the floor plan for the smaller of the two homes and thought it might give everyone a little better idea of our master plan. The floor plan is only of the main floor. The plan also includes a loft but Tim must have that image with the images of the other house.

Hi Gary,
As a dealer for a major log home manufacturer I can readily appreciate your project. Finding land turns out to be the hardest part of building a log home these days (depending of course on where you are looking for that land!).
Since "cabins" are by definition, size impaired, if you haven't already decided to do so, I would eliminate that solid wall along side your stairs, and replace it with support posts. Depending on what type of view you have, and how you will need to orient your cabin on the land, you don't want to block any view, or light penetration into the rest of the cabin.
I look forward to following your projects through to completion.
Richard
