First, let us apologize to those of you that are/were actively following our projects. Saying we are up to our ears in the construction of our cabins is a huge understatement. We have been so busy trying to keep the project moving, that we let our blogging efforts slide.

Progress, but not without headaches

We finally finished the superstructure and the interior rough-framing. We identified problems with bowing perimeter log walls that did not have interior stiffening walls framed before the upper level and loft were constructed.

As soon as Tim took over the role of contractor, the first step in cleaning up the mess left by the contractor was to access where the project actually is and make a list of priorities.

Breaking Ground

Second Property Purchased

Once upon a time... Well isn't that how all fairy tales start? My business partner and I have decided to buy some land in the woods and build a couple of log cabin "spec" homes, which we would then sell to that special niche market of "Log Cabin Lovers."
